Bridgewater, Va. – Last semester, the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) club at Bridgewater College worked with Clean the World to raise money for hygiene kits.

Clean the World is a social enterprise that leads a global hygiene revolution. Their goal is to give out recycled soap and hygiene products to those in need.

Essynce Henderson, the president of the club and a senior at Bridgewater College said they were responsible for raising the money and did so by selling Black Lives Matter masks on campus to students and faculty.

The club then used the money they raised to purchase products for their hygiene kits — which included things like soap, shampoo, wipes and socks. Henderson stated that the club members distributed their kits to local homeless shelters in the Harrisonburg area.

Henderson also said the project was something completely new for their club and they all really enjoyed it. The project also was a success considering the club was remote for the whole semester.
