Bridgewater, VA – Josh Davidson is a local musician that performs a vast array of genres all over the Valley. Recently, Davidson performed at Elkton Brewing in Elkton, Virginia.
He has performed recently at Mercy House, Keswick Vineyards, The Barn 678 and many other local businesses. Davidson has loved performing in the Valley. He stated, “The Valley has provided me with so much. I have loved being able to perform all over my hometown. I feel I have met a majority of the Valley at this point in one way or another, and I love that we are such a tight knit community.”
Davidson is an Elkton local who started getting into music professionally about five years ago.
“People told me I wouldn’t make it,” said Davidson. “They told me I wouldn’t succeed as an artist. They only motivated me to pursue my career further.”
After over five years of performing, Davidson has rounded up quite the crowd. He has over 1,000 followers on Instagram and over 2,600 on Facebook. Many of the patrons at his events are regulars in his crowd. He is one of the most well-known musicians in the area, having events weekly at various establishments throughout the Valley. Davidson plays his guitar and sings at every event.
At his most recent event in Elkton, the crowd responded to Davidson extremely well. Davidson was entertaining the crowd throughout the night as well with his antics. He would laugh with bar patrons, and tell jokes throughout his set. Davidson has an exceptional skill at reading crowds and what they would best respond to.
Davidson performs a wide array of musical genres at his shows like pop, rock, country music, alternative. He takes requests as well from the crowd, seeming to know nearly every song they ask for.
“Josh Davidson is one of the most stand up guys I know in this area,” said patron Kelly Singleton. “He is always down to help anyone, he plays music in such a classic way. I always know it will be a solid evening if I attend one of his shows. I saw him perform five years ago, and the way that he has gained confidence throughout his career has been amazing to watch. I hope that he will continue to play for many years to come out here.”
