Harrisonburg, VA – On Thursday, Feb. 15, the Golden Pony hosted a concert with the band Easy Honey. The night started at 6:00pm with two openers, The Milestones and the Red Miata.

Golden Pony, a nightclub in Harrisonburg, hosted the band Easy Honey this Thursday. They started by playing some crowd favorites such as “Orbiter,” “Gotta Get Back” and “Spells.” The style of their music is calm with an alternative feel.

Their favorite song to perform right now is the song “Amy,” which is a song that was written by one of the band members, Selby Austin. He describes the song as “a depiction of a relationship that is spoken in a language that is not your native tongue.” The song has a slight Spanish feel, and was one of the biggest hits of the night with the crowd. While Easy Honey is not a Virginian band, they often come to play in Virginia and have talked about how much they enjoy our crowds.

They have been performing for two years as a band, and they have been on tour the last few months around the southern United States. “The best thing about playing live is it’s always different no matter what,” said Austin. “Your band is like this ship that navigates it, the journey of the show, together and that’s what you welcome the audience into. It’s all challenging, but also easy at the same time.”

Easy Honey kept the audience’s energy up their entire set. They interacted with the crowd any chance they had, even throwing in some jokes throughout their show.
