  • Senior Dozie Osundu opens the ceremony. As the host and current president, he started by saying how the theme of this Afrofest was rebirth, which is to represent new beginnings for all humans.

  • Members of the AFSA enter Cole hall. Certain students bore the flags of African countries.

  • This performance starts the entertaining portion of the ceremony with a song. They claim the song was an original.

  • The fashion portion of the festival began immediately after the entertainment. These three students wore the clothing of a specific African country, as everyone else did in the fashion show.

  • Jaimah Mark, 2026, and Matthew Ellis, 2024, join as partners for the fashion show. Their segment marked the middle of the fashion show, and they represented Ghana.

  • Another song was sung to entertain the audience. This kept the audience captivated until the next segment of the show.

  • Ten guests were summoned for a questionnaire to challenge their knowledge of Africa. The prize for this was a gift card to Smitty’s.

  • AFSA participants have a group dance. This was done after the dance segment and was improvised.

  • The AFSA club gathered for one last group photo. Dr. Nuhu, Assistant Professor of Business Administration, joined the BSA with his daughter.
