Women’s Basketball Celebrates Senior Night and Alumni Day With Double-Digit Victory Over Ferrum College

Women’s basketball alumni get honored and greeted at halftime with hugs from Bridgewater President David Bushman and Curt Kendall, Bridgewater’s Director of Athletics. These ladies received huge cheers from the crowd as they made a return to their old stomping grounds.

Alsberry defends the shot from Ferrum forward, number eleven, Taryn Blankenship. This season, Alsberry averaged 12.2 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game, resulting in her being awarded with first team All-ODAC honors.

Sophomore Jasmine Griffin puts pressure on Martin following a bucket on the other end. Bridgewater’s tough defense was fifth in all of Division III in opponent points per game this season allowing only 47.7 points per game. The Eagles defense only allowed 32% of shots to go in the hoop this season.

Legendary head coach Stephanie Flamini laughs with friends and alumni at the post-game reception in the President’s Suite. Coach Flamini surpassed 400 wins on Feb. 18 with this victory over Ferrum adding another to her total.
